Who should attend?
All Councillors, Clerks and staff needing to comply with the reform of General Data Protection Regulations that are coming into force on 25 May 2018. Compliance will be difficult if councils leave preparations until next year.
The briefing will focus on understanding how to keep other people's information safe. If the council loses personal data through negligence, accident, theft, cyber-crime or any other reason it can be fined and anyone affected by such loss will now be entitled to sue for damages.
This is a repeat of the session held on 25th October & 15th November.
