1. Meet the External Auditor: Rebecca Plane, a Senior Manager from PKF Littlejohn LLP, the appointed auditors for smaller authorities in Hertfordshire under the new contract for 2017/18 onwards, She has been a Senior Manager and Engagement Lead on the previous Audit Commission contract at the firm for 5 years and is one of the Engagement Leads on the new SAAA contract. She has many years' experience in the limited assurance regime/local councils sector, as auditor/manager/quality control reviewer/engagement lead and is the audit firms' representative on JPAG. She will cover:

· key general messages arising from the firm's 2016/17 limited assurance review work;

· the firm's approach to its review work;

· key changes in requirements for the 2017/18 financial year, e.g. exempt authorities;

· some background on the arrangements for the reviews next year, subject to these having been finalised by SAAA.

2. Grant Funding: This course is written and delivered by Carina Helmn – County Officer and Lead Trainer, HAPTC, Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to Kimpton Parish Council.
